Moving into The Space marked the start of an ambitious transformation. This week, the focus has been on:

1. Design and Measurement: Upon collecting the keys, it became clear that the studio was larger than expected. This realisation called for adjustments to the original designs, expanding plans to fully utilise the space.

2. Meeting Contractors: Collaborating with contractors to finalise designs, such as creating an infinity cove and partition wall, has been crucial. These additions will enhance the functionality of the space for creative projects.

3. DIY Adventures: From plastering walls to preparing undercoats, embracing DIY has been a big part of the week. Every step is a learning opportunity—even discovering that some tasks, like plastering directly onto certain surfaces, require extra preparation.

   
   

Overcoming Challenges

No journey is without its hurdles, and this week brought a few surprises:

• Flooding: Heavy rain revealed issues with the stairwell and entrance flooding, which is now a priority discussion with the landlord.

• Unfinished Tasks: The studio remains a construction zone, with some delays as contractors finalize quotes and deadlines.

Despite these challenges, the focus remains on problem-solving and pushing forward.

A Vision for the Future
