The Space MCR Booking Policy

 

Booking Process

 

All bookings must be made through our official booking platform.

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required for all bookings.

 

Payment Terms

 

Full payment is due upon booking.

Accepted payment methods: credit/debit card.

 

Cancellation Policy

 

Cancellations made 1 week prior to the booking date will receive a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 1 week before the booking date will be charged 50% of the total booking fee.

Rescheduling is allowed once with at least 7 days' notice and is subject to availability.

 

No-Show Policy

 

If the client fails to show up for the booking without prior notification, they will be charged the full booking fee, no refund will be offered.

 

Usage of The Space

 

The client is responsible for the care and respect of the equipment, space, and facilities during the booking.

Any damage to property or equipment must be reported immediately and will be charged to the client.

The space must be left clean and tidy; additional cleaning charges may apply if the space is left in an unsatisfactory condition.

 

Health & Safety

 

All clients must adhere to The Space MCR’s health and safety guidelines.

The client is responsible for ensuring their guests and team members comply with all safety regulations during the booking.

Guests

 

When booking 'The Studio' clients are able to bring up to 6 guests.

If booking 'The Space' the maximum capacity for a standard booking is 25 people.

If you team is bigger than this please get in touch to discuss if we are able to accommodate it before booking.

Extra people are charged at £10pp.

If you arrive and your team is bigger than this, you will be asked to book a second session or pay a fine of £200.

Flooring Notice

 

The Space MCR is located in a 200-year-old mill with original hardwood flooring. Some areas may be uneven. The Space MCR will not be liable for any injuries or issues related to the flooring. Clients are advised to exercise caution and ensure their guests are aware of this condition.

 

Overtime

 

Bookings that exceed the allotted time by any more than 15minutes will be subject to overtime charges at a rate of £50/hour between 8am-8pm or £100/hour out of hours. 

Overtime is only available if no conflicting booking exists and must be arranged with The Space MCR management.

Overnight Storage & Extended Access Policy

 

 

The Space offers overnight storage options to accommodate pre-shoot deliveries and multi-day productions. These must be arranged in advance and are subject to the following terms:

 

 

1. Pre-Booking Overnight Storage

 

Clients may store equipment, props, or other materials in the studio the night before their scheduled booking for a fee of £25 per night.

 

• Access to the studio during this storage period is not permitted unless otherwise agreed.

• Items must be clearly labelled and stored in the designated area, as advised by the studio team.

• Storage is offered subject to availability and must be confirmed at the time of booking.

 

 

 

2. Post-Shoot Storage (Same-Day Bookings)

 

If items are left after your booking has ended (e.g., shoot ends at 6pm but studio closes at 8pm), an additional fee will be incurred based on lost booking potential:

 

• The standard £25 overnight storage fee applies, plus

• £50 per hour for any remaining studio hours lost (e.g. 2 hours = £100)

  This reflects both potential bookings lost and our standard out-of-hours surcharge.

 

 

 

3. Overnight Storage Between Consecutive Booking Days

 

If you are booking The Space across multiple days and wish to leave your setup in place or store items overnight, a flat overnight holding fee of £75 per night applies.

 

• This ensures your shoot setup remains undisturbed and your items are secured.

• This fee accounts for the studio being unavailable for hire during that time.

 

 

 

4. Liability & Access

 

 

• While The Space is secure and access is restricted, we do not accept liability for any items left in the studio overnight. Insurance is the responsibility of the client.

• No access will be granted during storage periods outside of agreed booking hours unless out-of-hours access has been arranged (charged at £50/hour).

 

Rights to Refuse

 

The Space MCR reserves the right to refuse or terminate a booking at any time if the terms and conditions are violated, or if the event is deemed inappropriate for the venue.

 

Liability

 

The Space MCR is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings during the use of the space.

Clients are encouraged to obtain their own insurance to cover any potential damages or liabilities.

 

Agreement

 

By confirming the booking, the client agrees to all terms and conditions set out in this policy.
